2018-2019

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome your child to Spanish class this year.  My name is Sra. Bueno, and it is with great pleasure that I will be teaching your child.  Your child will learn Spanish through songs, visuals, TPR (Total Physical Response), pair activities, and memorizing basic conversation.   I will try and make this experience fun and memorable.

First graders:

First grade students will have Spanish once a week for thirty five minutes. During the first marking period the students will review and learn basic introductions, routine conversation, classroom commands, greetings, and numbers 0-10 and colors.

Second Graders:

Second grade students will have Spanish once a week for thirty-five minutes. During the first marking period they will review and learn questions and answers to basic conversation, introductions, greetings, numbers 0-20, colors, shapes and sizes. The students will also talk about what Hispanic Heritage Month is.

Third Graders:

Third grade students will have Spanish once a week for thirty-five minutes. During the first marking period they will review and learn basic conversation, introductions, greetings, alphabet, colors, shapes and sizes.  The students will also discuss what Spanish Heritage Month is.

Materials needed for class:  The students 1st, 2nd and 3er grade need a pocket folder.

Helpful suggestion:

The following are some helpful suggestions to help your child practice at home in order to enhance what he/she is learning in Spanish class.

1. Ask your child what they learned in class.

2. Review and practice the basic conversation handout that your child               will bring home to study.

3. Encourage your child to have a positive attitude when learning Spanish.

4. For at home practice the students may go to the website:
                                   www.123teachme.com

Click onto Spanish for kids and have thestudents practice numbers, colors, and shapes.

3. Please e-mail me with your comments or concerns at my e-mail gbueno@pway.org

I am looking forward to working with your child, and having a really productive and fun year.

Thank you for your support!

¡Gracias!
