First graders:

The first grade students are now able to ask and answer about 12 routine conversation questions they are learning in class.  We have been practicing numbers 0-15, colors, shapes, sizes,  classroom objects, and days of the week.   Songs, games, and movement are used to reinforce new vocabulary.
They are doing fantastic!  This last marking period they will be learning months, seasons and weather expressions.  Please take some time and ask your child to teach you something in Spanish.

Second grade:

Second graders are improving nicely in their routine conversation.  They are able to ask and answer about 14 questions in complete sentences, recite and identify the days of the week, months of the year, seasons and weather.  They are doing great!
This last marking period the second graders will learn to identify classroom objects, clothing, and describe what they wear during different seasons.  Please take some time and ask your child to teach you something in Spanish.

Third grade:

The third graders are able to ask and answer about 17 questions in complete sentences. They have been practicing and learning numbers 0-50, months, seasons, weather and feelings.  Songs are used to reinforce vocabulary learned in a fun way.
Our last unit will include a review of classroom objects, introduce the alphabet, and we will end with clothing. The students will be able to identify what they wear during different seasons. The best part of the lesson is when the students  put on a fashion show describing what they are wearing while singing a song they will learn on clothing. Please take some time and ask your child to teach you something in Spanish.
