Thanksgiving spirit marches through halls of Grandview

Holiday spirit marched through the halls of Grandview Elementary School as students hosted their own Thanksgiving Day Parade! Students from the classes of Carissa Stoddard, Amanda Beleski, and Terry Malloy-Rogus worked hard to construct a unique balloon or character that reflected their imagination and teamwork. In the weeks before Thanksgiving, students researched famous parade balloons, planned their designs, and collaborated in small groups to bring their ideas to life. On Wednesday, Nov. 26, the hallways buzzed with energy as staff and students gathered along the parade route. As each balloon passed, students were celebrated with applause and smiles from peers across grade levels in a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and school spirit. It showcased how hands-on, project-based learning can bring academic concepts, artistic expression, and community building together in meaningful ways.
