Learning
Writer’s Workshop: We are so excited to start our new unit: Writing for Readers. We will be working really hard to write stories just like those we are reading during reading time. We will learn that tools give writers extra power and partnerships for revisions will make stories more fun to read! J
Reader’s Workshop: Do you know that kindergarteners can have SUPER powers? Our class will be reading with print strategies and sight word power.
FUNdations: Over the next several weeks we will be reviewing upper-case letter formation. Families, I encourage you to help your child recognize sounds at the end of words-a word’s ending sound is much more difficult to hear! Picture book and word play activities are a great activity to do at home.
Go Math Workshop:
Addition; model & draw addition problems and write addition sentences.
Subtraction; model & draw subtraction problems and write subtraction sentences.
