Wow! The 100th day of school is almost here- i can't believe we are half way through the school year. We have been really busy learning fun, new, information. Here is a little bit of what we learned.....

We are beginning the sixth Jack and Annie book and the class is excited to learn about the Ice Age and space. We have transitioned into working in 8 centers a week.

We have completed the first seven chapters in our Go Math unit. We also celebrated the 90th day of school. The students are looking forward to celebrating the 100th day of school and are learning addition and subtraction with larger numbers, skip counting, and graphing!

Social Studies:
We will  continue to learn about our community and New Jersey.  Through the Magic Tree House Series we will be learning about the Ice age, space, and the oceans. So far this year we studied pilgrims and native Americans, medieval times, pirate life, the Amazon Rain forest, Japan,  and ancient Egypt.

We have learned so much since school began, we learned about dinosaurs, fossils, hieroglyphics, the life cycles of apples, pumpkins, and gourds, boat building, density, and color mixing. Next we will be learning about ice, magic water, the planets, volcanoes, and in the Spring we will be studying the life cycle of a butterfly.
