What We’re Learning
Writer’s Workshop: In our new Unit ‘How-to Books’, we will be using what
we already know to write & teach others. J
Reader’s Workshop: Did you know Room #36 is about to tackle more
challenging books? So what does this mean? Bigger books=Bigger reading
muscles!!!
FUNdations:
Over the next several weeks we will be working on letter sequence and short vowel words (CVC). It will be helpful for your child to read ABC books at home (a list will be sent home shortly).

Virtual Reminders
-Please keep in mind kindergarteners are expected to be reading at a level C/D by the end of the school year. Please read WITH your child daily and use Epic & RAZ Kids as often as you can to strengthen his/her decoding and comprehension skills.
-Please have your child practice reading & writing the list of sight words sent home, as well as some of the word family activities.
