Wow! We are officially 100 days brighter!  I can't believe we are half way through the school year. We have been really busy learning new information. Here is a little bit of what we learned.....

We are beginning the seventh Jack and Annie book and the class is excited to learn about the space and ocean animals . We have transitioned nicely into working in 8 centers a week.

We have completed the first eight chapters in our Go Math program. We also celebrated the 100th day of school and are continuing to practice addition and subtraction with larger numbers, skip counting, and 2D and 3D shapes!

Social Studies:
We will  continue to learn about our community and New Jersey.  Through the Magic Tree House Series we will be learning about the space, the ocean, and the wild west. So far this year we studied pilgrims and native Americans, medieval times, pirate life, the Amazon Rain forest, Japan,  the ice age, and ancient Egypt.

We have learned so much since school began, we learned about dinosaurs, fossils, hieroglyphics, the life cycles of apples, pumpkins, and gourds, boat building, density, and color mixing. Next we will be learning about ice, magic water, the planets, volcanoes, and in the Spring we will be studying the life cycle of a butterfly.
