First graders:

The first grade students are now able to ask and answer about 10 routineconversation questions that they are learning in class. We have been practicing commands and numbers 0-15 using songs, games, addition and subtraction problems. The students have been learning colors, shapes, and sizes. This will lead us into our new lessons on classroom objects, and days of the week.

Second grade:

Second graders are improvingnicely in their routine conversation. They are able to ask and answer about 14 questions in complete sentences, as well as recite and identify the days of the week, and months of the year.The students can also recite the seasons of the year, and identify the months in each season.They are able to state what their favorite season is, and when their birthday is.
The students have been reviewing numbers 0-30 using math problems and the calendar.The second graders also learned weather, and feelings. Our new lessons will be on classroom objects, followed by clothing.

Thirdgrade:

The third graders are able to ask and answer about 20 questions in complete sentences.Songs are used to reinforce vocabulary learned in a fun way.
The students have been reviewing numbers to 50, weather, feelings, colors and shapes.The students have also been learning classroom objects, using songs, pair activities, and writing sentences.They are also learning the alphabet using songs, and chants.The students will be able to identify words that begin with each letter of the Spanish alphabet.Our new unit will be on clothing reviewing what the students wear in each season.
Ireally enjoy listening to how much they know. Please take some time and ask your child toteach you something in Spanish
